1984, Kickingbird Associates has offered expert consulting and training
services to Indian governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses and
local, state and federal governments. We are committed to developing

Kirke Kickingbird
A member of the Kiowa Tribe and Kiowa Gourd Clan, Kirke has over 30
years experience in the field of American Indian Law and governance. He
has dedicated much of his professional life to educating various
publics about the unique relationship between Indians and the U.S.
Government and strengthening the capacity of Indian governments to meet
the everyday needs of their people while securing their futures. He
speaks widely at symposia , conferences and universities. Kirke has
worked directly with over 150 tribal governments within the United
States and Canada, and has consulted with experts, governmental
officials and non-governmental organizations from five continents on
matters of indigenous people's rights.
He is admitted to the following bars: Oklahoma State, District of
Columbia, and Federal Tax Court. He is Of Counsel with the Washington
DC-based law firm of Hobbs, Straus, Dean and Walker whose sole practice
is Indian Law. He is based in their Oklahoma City Office.
Lynn Kickingbird
Lynn has worked to increase the effectiveness of nonprofit and
governmental organizations for over twenty-eight years. Her training
and consulting practice specializes in leadership development,
strategic planning and organizational capacity building. She has the
ability to help organizations clarify their vision and translate it
into strategic plans and programs. An experienced trainer, meeting
facilitator and speaker, Lynn is skilled at working with diverse and
muticultural community and professional groups. She has an M.Ed. from
Virginia Tech. She has been trained in Grove Consultants
International's Graphic Visioning process, the Board Self Assessment
process for BoardSource, and The Drucker Foundation's Nonprofit
Management Self-Assessment Tool. She is the author of many books and
articles including: Grant Writing for Results and Growing Effective Boards.
In spring 2002 her articles "Marketing Your Mission" and "Building
Sustainable Nonprofits through Social Entrepreneurship" appeared in Nonprofit Governance and Management published by the American Bar Association.
Lynn's facilitation skills help to promote vitality and commitment
among teams, departments, organizations and institutions. Her clients
include youth-serving, education, social service, arts, faith-based
organizations, small businesses and national state, tribal and local
governments.
